I researched and presented ideas to improve the department and assisted in implementation. I also developed and implemented new or help revise programs, systems, procedures, and methods of operation. Lastly, I served as a liaison with employees, public, and private organizations, community groups, and other organizations when it comes to projects such as creating employer vanpools.

Program and Planning Intern; June-Sep. 2015 and June-Sep. 2016
In the summer of 2015 I was hired by the City of Wilsonville's SMART department as their transit program and planning intern. During my time there I helped develop and edit the city's Transit Master Plan, Integration Plan and outreach efforts. I organized a bike/pedestrian trail count for the city that had over 30 volunteers. I also created a promotional activity for citizens to participate in to encourage using alternative forms of transportation around Wilsonville and to other nearby cities. I worked with several local companies to partner with our efforts and give away prizes to citizens participating in using the SMART bus system. I also worked at outreach events, going to nearby schools, farmers markets or city events to have a conversation with people about SMART choices.
I was re-hired as their intern for the summer of 2016 where I have created a walk booklet for the city, an on-board demographic survey of SMART riders and the outreach portion of the Master Plan update.
