On-Board Rider Survey
August 2017
In August 2017, SMART conducted its first rider survey to help understand who our riders are, why they ride and where they are traveling. Over the course of four days, SMART surveyed all routes and gathered a total of 449 completed surveys. This 29-question survey provided information that will be used to improve advertising and help in future planning efforts.
This one-paged survey taken by willing participants was designed to be completed in under two minutes. With the help of one of SMART's bi-lingual bus operators, we were able to provide this survey in Spanish as well.
After collecting this data, I built the infographic seen below to share with interested parties. In addition, I presented the survey findings to Wilsonville City Council utilizing this visual presentation.
